WHO SHOULD ATTEND
Sales/estimating staff, management personnel, or anyone involved in
reading blueprints. It is especially useful to those with some
experience in reading blueprints. Probably not a good course for
person
with no blueprint experience.
COURSE OVERVIEW
This particular seminar is new to the Association this year. It is
intended as a review or refresher for people with some experience in
blueprint reading and lumber and material estimating. The seminar will
lead participants through a typical blueprint format, scale and
content, and then address more complex issues of residential
estimating. In addition, you’ll examine the challenges of estimating
for a competitive bid vs. a standard “estimate”. This course is unique
because of the “real-world” skills of our presenter, Ray Schreiber.
Ray is a lumber dealer by profession - and an engineer by education -
and attacks common problems in blueprint reading from an experienced
eye, often solving problems before they arise on the jobsite. His is
widely-known for his advanced skills in estimating materials, and is
respected by fellow engineers, architects, and contractors.
Ray will open with a “quick review” of blueprints, and then tackle
YOUR specific problems, challenges, or common mistakes, creating a
unique learning experience for all attendees. |
